WHO WE ARE
The follow the forest Initiative is an opportunity for partners to participate in a large, continental vision that can be translated to a local scale
We unite communities, organizations, agencies, and donors to protect and maintain this resilient and essential wildlife corridor
Through our combined efforts to reconnect and conserve forests, we aim to offset the impacts of climate change and escalating development
The Follow the Forest Initiative works with partner land trusts and
regional conservation groups to achieve our shared goals
As Follow the Forest partners we will…
- Act in the spirit of collaboration and with the guiding philosophy that together we can accomplish more
- Aim to protect 50% of each core forest habitat in our region
- Conserve at least one secure linkage between each core forest
- Conduct wildlife habitat linkage assessments in our region
- Collaborate to set conservation priorities that promote habitat connectivity
- Deploy a shared message that advances our local priorities while fitting into a continental vision
